1 July - Destruction

Ably assisted by our French WWOOFers I have removed the lean-to from the side of the house and am now cleaning up the bricks.

5 July - Digger

It seems to be a regular (and certainly welcome for my boys!) occurance that we need to hire a digger to clear an area, remove some tree stumps etc.

10 July - Clearing etc.
Having the helpers outside means we are really getting on top of clearing up a lot of rubbish, weeding, and generally sorting out the outside. We've even filled in the various holes in the drive!

12 July - Brassicas thriving

The brassica patch is enjoying the alternate rain and sunshine - should be a good harvest this year.

19 July - This is hardcore

We've filled in a load of hardcore for the new hard standing by the boiler house and cleared the rest of the area nearby which will be grassed over.

22 July - Getting wood

The WWOOFers are helping me to chop up a load of the wood that has been seasoning and store it ready for winter...

26 July - Wood you believe it

...I reckon we have done about 4 tons.
